Plentiful, quality granite bouldering spread throught a beautiful glacially carved bowl. Rock is of high quality, typical tahoe granite, a little polished in spots. At 6500 ft. Biggest bouldering area in Tahoe (currently 200 problems). Best areas to check out are Hidden boulders (awesome maze of caves and rock corridors), Getaways (big and bold with hard (>V5) lines) and UFO area (good concentration of moderates V2-V5).

From I-80 in Auburn exit CA-49 (or Elm St) and follow signs for CA-49 south to Cool.
From Cool take CA-193 east to Georgetown and turn east onto Main St/Wentworth
Springs Rd and follow it about 30 miles to Ice House Rd. Turn left onto Ice House Rd
and follow the signs to Loon Lake Dam.
From Placerville take CA-50 east about 20 miles to Ice House Rd and follow it for
about 30 miles to Loon Lake, following the signs to Loon Lake Dam. Drive over Loon Lake Dam to the far side of the lake and take the short road downhill to the left. Park in the big parking area before the spillway.
