At 9,000 feet Bunker Creek offers tolerable summertime bouldering. However, the best conditions are during late spring or early fall. The thickly forested area offers much more seclusion and adventure for those that seek it. The welded tuff comes with varying quality. Many boulders are complete choss while others are forgotten gems.
