Hardly a secret, the Secret Garden is home to some of the most classic harder problems in Little. This area also serves as a great warmup due to the infinite variations on the All Thumbs boulder's backside. One of the warmest areas, it's your best bet during the winter and your worst as summer approaches.

The Warmup

Secret Garden

Climb the Arete using the chipped half circle edges.

Shothole Arete

Sit start  the overhanging arete on an undercling with the left and crimp with the right. The stand goes at V4.

Bear Hug

Start on the sidepull with your left and small crimp with your right. Two moves and you're done.

Copperhead

Climb the dihedral. A sit exists and goes at about V7.

Quite the sandbag. Climb the small arete beside Twisted.

Manly Arete

Start on the slopey rail underneath the roof. Trend a little right and mantle up.

Johnny's Mantle

Start on the large jug and move straight up grabbing the largest holds around. A million variations exist here.

The Warmup / Direct North Face Of Shothole

The Funky Bunch

This is the farthest right line on the north side of the boulder (to the right of Warm Up). Start on the right side of the boulder and work up the arete. Having a spotter can be nice.

Dan's Move

Start on left facing gaston above waist height. Move up and left to a crimp or pinch.

Chip Butty

Tilt-A-Whirl is a direct, vertical route that ends in an optional knee-bar to the top out. To the left of Warm-up, Tilt-a-whirl is on the corner of the boulder and consists of very jug-like side pulls all the way to the top. It shares its further right holds with Warm-up. Start anywhere you'd like but for a challenge try to start in the sitting position and reach up to the first and only crimp until the fun side pulls begin. The crux is towards the top when you must reach up to the finish area and if you're shorter than 5' 3" or so, you might need a knee bar to top out the route. This problem maxes out at around 12-15 feet. Definitely recommend a spotter and a thick pad as it is a rooty and awkward landing zone.

Tilt-a-whirl Arete

Just to the left of Johnny's mantle, with some tree trunks to your back, Etch-a-sketch is a pretty visible slab route that consists of slick, smeary footholds and small handholds. Start with your feet on the large chunk of rock on the left of the route. It has one or two crimps towards the start but the rest are just half-inch slab holds.

Start on the jug under the arete. Move to the horizontal arete and then around the right side of the vertical arete to top out
